Consultant Otolaryngologist
I qualified from Southampton University in 1990. I did general surgical and then ENT training in the South of England with a one year fellowship in South Australia specialising in “Head and Neck (cancer)” surgery and endoscopic sinus surgery.
I moved to the South West as a consultant in 2002. I have remained here since, apart from a two year stint working as a consultant in New Zealand.
I currently work between Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and the RD&E in Exeter, where I am Head and Neck Cancer Lead.
I see both adult and paediatric patients with all ENT problems, but specialise in benign and malignant neck disease, including thyroid and parathyroid disease. I also have a special interest in sinus disease.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the British Association of Otolaryngologists and a member of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons.
I undertake both clinical practice and medico-legal work.
I am married to a GP and have four children.
